
Christopher Siu holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Toronto, studying under Dr. James Parker and Dr. Boris Lysenko. He has also taken lessons with world- renowned piano masters including Marina Geringas, Drs. John O’Conor, Jerome Lowenthal, Peter Bithell, John Perry, Robert Silverman and Edward Auer.
Christopher has performed at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts and at the CBC’s Glenn Gould Studio, in addition to performing at the Niagara International Chamber Music Festival for many years. At the age of 12, Christopher was invited to perform with the NYCO Symphony Orchestra, as a result of winning the NYCO Concerto Competition, and had the honour of performing on Glenn Gould’s own piano at Roy Thomson Hall.
Christopher enjoys collaborating with both musical theatre students and instrumental soloists. He accompanies at various festivals and recitals every year. As a composer and arranger, Christopher has worked with talented musicians and artists around the world, and has collaborated with fellow creators Ryan Leach and 8-bit Music Theory. A few of his scoring credits include music and orchestrations for Hallmark’s romantic comedy Her Pen Pal, as well as original music and arrangements for the Dark Dice series, which won awards including “Best Original Score” at the 2022 Signal Awards. He’s released a few albums as a singer/songwriter, covering classical and pop territory, along with his most recent project – an original Christmas album! As an educator, Christopher currently runs a YouTube channel where he shares weekly content on composition, orchestration and mixing, empowering musicians to realize their true creative potential.
