Julian Fisher holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Toronto. He studied viola with Stanley Solomon and Osher Green (Toronto Symphony Orchestra) For ten years he was a faculty member at The Royal Conservatory of Music. Mr Fisher has also been a member of the Council of Examiners. He is a long time member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers, and the Suzuki Association of Ontario.

Julian is active as an adjudicator in music festivals across Ontario. He is the violist for the Fisher Quartet, which freelances in the Greater Toronto area, and is the Principal Viola in the Hart House Orchestra at the University of Toronto. He conducts the TSS Adult Orchestra at the Toronto School for Strings, which Julian and his wife Mary co-founded in 1999.
