UMAC and OMFA

UMAC is a member of OMFA and FCMF, therefore The winners of the Provincial g6- g10 classes will have opportunity to represent UMAC at the Provincial Finals in June 2019.
The winners of the provincial/national qualifying classes will proceed to the Provincial Finals in June 2019. Winners of the Provincial Finals will represent Ontario in the National Music Festival in August 2019.
Please stay tuned for the updates regarding times and locations of the 2019 Provincials and National Finals.






 

COMPETITION  DATES  & LOCATION

The competition  will take place between Tuesday November 27th – Saturday December 1st.
All instruments, piano master class, string master class, woodwind master class and concerto competitions.
The competition will take place at the Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church
10066 YONGE STREET, RICHMOND HILL, ON L4C 1T8

GALA CONCERT & AWARD PRESENTATION

The Gala Concert & Award presentation ceremony will take place at JANUARY 26, 2019 at Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church

 

Mission

I am delighted to welcome all the participants, teachers and parents to the 3rd annual UNIONVILLE MUSIC ACADEMY COMPETITION.
Our most exceptional performers will present their talents at the GALA CONCERT & AWARD PRESENTATION.
The scholarship winner(s) of the FOUNDER TROPHY CLASS will have a privilege to participate in the XVIII INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL PRESENTED BY JVL SUMMER SCHOOL FOR PERFORMING ARTS.
This year, the winners of the Concerto Competition will be performing with the SCARBOROUGH PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA and the CANADIAN SINFONIETTA during 2019-2020 season. More details to follow.

WE ARE PROUD TO INTRODUCE RENOWNED ADJUDICATORS AT OUR COMPETITION.THEIR SKILLS AND EXPERTISE WILL MAKE A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON YOUNG MUSICIANS AND OPEN LIMITLESS ARTISTIC POSSIBILITIES FOR THE GROWTH OF OUR COMPETITORS:


 

Community

the most promising students recommended by the adjudicators will have opportunities to participate in a “Star’s Concerts” organized by UMAC for Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Kindergartens and other community events in the upcoming  year, stay tuned for more information.
